Burkina Faso: French Green Beans
The French colonised Burkina Faso and as such they influenced the cuisine of the country. This is a simple side dish using French green beans, Burkinabé style.

Ingredients
- 230g French green beans
 - 1/4 white onion, sliced thinly
 - 1/2 chilli pepper, diced
 - 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
 - 1 garlic clove, chopped
 - Vegetable oil
 - Salt and pepper
 
Instructions
- In a frying pan over a medium high heat, cook the onions in vegetable oil until translucent.
 - Add all other ingredients and cook until beans are tender.
 - Season to taste and serve.
